Celebrating One Year with Johnston Rigging: Matt “Beardy” Bremner

At Johnston Rigging Fife, we believe the strength of the business comes down to the people behind it. This week, we’re pleased to recognise a key milestone for one of our team. Matt “Beardy” Bremner has reached his first year with the business.

Matt joined us from a HGV low loader background with a clear goal of moving into crane operations. From day one, he applied himself to that ambition and has put in the work to make it happen.

In autumn 2025, Matt achieved both his CPCS Slinger Signaller and Mobile Crane Operator qualifications, passing with flying colours. Since then, he has continued to build on that foundation, gaining valuable experience and developing into a safe, steady and efficient operator.

Alongside operating, Matt regularly supports lifting operations in a slinger and banksman role. His understanding of site operations, combined with his background in transport, allows him to contribute across multiple areas of the business and support the wider team when needed.

He has settled in well and is a strong reflection of the standards and approach we’re known for as a business.

We would like to thank Matt for his efforts over the last year and look forward to supporting his continued development within Johnston Rigging.
