A Complete Solution for Complex Lifting Projects
When an operational factory scheduled a short shutdown for critical works, time was everything. The challenge? To extract a 9.00Te machine from inside the production hall within tight constraints to get production back up and running.
Precision planning was key. We developed a detailed lifting plan, method statement and risk assessment in compliance with LOLER and BS7121, coordinated multiple teams, and utilised specialist equipment including spreader beams, chain blocks, hydraulic jacks, skates, and lifting accessories.

Our “one-stop shop” approach made this task possible. First, our cladders & steel erection team carefully removed roof cladding and purlins to create lifting access. Once the machine was exposed, we faced another hurdle: it wasn’t positioned for a direct lift. To overcome this, we deployed jacking and skating techniques to move the load to a safe pick-up point where the Liebherr LTM1230 mobile crane could access the machine’s centre of gravity.
After the successful lift and removal, our cladders & steel erectors reinstated the roof purlins and cladding, leaving the factory ready for operations without delay.
This project demonstrates our ability to deliver complex lifting and structural solutions under strict timeframes, combining our construction expertise, specialist equipment, and seamless coordination.
